Ecstatic with Punjab win, Captain dubs AAP 'ineffective' summer storm
Chandigarh(Punjab) [India], Mar. 11 (ANI): Assuring to end the drugs menace in the state, Punjab Congress chief Captain Amarinder Singh on Saturday took a jibe at the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and said that it was like a summer storm which has come and gone without making any difference. "Drugs menace in the state will be my first priority as far as governance is concerned. As far as development is concerned, health and education will be my priority," Singh told the media here. "Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party is like summer storm which has come and gone without making any difference," he added. Lauding the voters of Punjab, Singh said the people want development in the state and have thus voted very rationally. "We are very happy and I am very happy that I got the gift of my birthday in the form of this victory. The Punjabi voters are very sensible. They want development, jobs, industry, better education and health. I hope the Union Government will now recognize this demand of the Punjab," he added. Refraining from speaking on the appointment of deputy chief minister of the state, Singh said Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi would take decision on it.
