"Double-engine govt in Maharashtra will work very well": Uttarakhand CM Dhami

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Thursday arrived in Mumbai to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the Maharashtra government and said that the double-engine government Maharashtra will work very well.

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], December 5 (ANI): Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Thursday arrived in Mumbai to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the Maharashtra government and said that the double-engine government Maharashtra will work very well.
"The Mahayuti alliance has received a majority here. I congratulate Fadnavis ji. The double-engine government here will work very well," CM Dhami said.
Meanwhile, Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Dr Premchand Bairwa congratulated the people of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis who will take oath as the CM and the two deputy CMs."

Madhya Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Jagdish Deora arrived in Mumbai and congratulated on the oath ceremony of the Mahayuti government.
"I extend congratulations on the oath ceremony of the Mahayuti government. PM Modi and many senior leaders will be present here today," Deora said.

Bihar CM Nitish Kumar and Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary arrived in Mumbai to attend the oath ceremony of the Maharashtra government.

Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi and Deputy CM Pravati Parida arrived in Mumbai to attend the oath ceremony of the Mahayuti government.

Moreover, notices have been pasted on the buildings around Azad Maidan prohibiting people to go on rooftops for security reasons.
Earlier today, Maharashtra CM designate Devendra Fadnavis offered prayers at Shree Siddhivinayak Temple and Shree Mumbadevi Temple in Mumbai. Devendra Fadnavis will be sworn in as Maharashtra Chief Minister at the Azad Maidan in Mumbai on Thursday.
Two deputy chief ministers, NCP leader Ajit Pawar and Shiv Sena chief Eknath Shinde, are also likely be sworn in at the ceremony in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Maharashtra Assembly Election 2024 witnessed a decisive victory for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led Mahayuti alliance, securing a landslide win with 235 seats. The results marked a significant milestone for the BJP, which emerged as the single-largest party with 132 seats.
The Shiv Sena and Nationalist Congress Party also made notable gains, with 57 and 41 seats, respectively.
While, the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) suffered a major setback with Congress winning just 16 seats. Its alliance partner, Shiv Sena (UBT), won 20 seats, while the NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) secured only 10 seats. (ANI)
