Hardoi (Uttar Pradesh) [India], May 5 (ANI): Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath cautioned people against supporting a political party that espouses support for terrorists and displays disrespect towards revered figures like Lord Ram.
He said, "During its tenure, the Samajwadi Party exhibited a keen interest in withdrawing cases against terrorists. Notably, they sought to withdraw cases against individuals implicated in attacks on significant sites, including the CRPF camp in Ayodhya, Rampur, Sankatmochan Temple in Kashi, Lucknow, Ayodhya, and the Varanasi court. The Hon'ble High Court even rebuked the party, saying that their next could be conferring Padma Award on terrorists."
These sentiments were articulated by CM Yogi during a public gathering in Mallawan, Hardoi, where he was seeking support for BJP MP and candidate Ashok Rawat in the upcoming elections.
The Chief Minister expressed his gratitude to the attendees for attending the event despite the scorching heat, noting the continued support received by BJP candidates from the populace, even after previous electoral contests and the Grand Alliance of 2019.
The Chief Minister urged people to actively participate in shaping India's future. He said, "The recently concluded two-phase elections indicated that our goal of 'Abki Baar 400 Paar' will soon be realized, with Uttar Pradesh poised to contribute to this objective substantially. Over the past decade, the country has witnessed monumental transformations, leading to widespread support for re-electing PM Modi."
Highlighting plans for infrastructure development, the Chief Minister added, "The Textiles Park, equipped with cutting-edge facilities, is going to be built in an expansive area spanning 1,000 acres between Hardoi and Lucknow. This initiative is expected to generate employment opportunities for thousands of youth in the region. Furthermore, the Hardoi district has received significant investments, including establishing a new district and a medical college, which indicates the government's commitment to enhancing healthcare and administrative facilities. "
CM Yogi emphasized the ongoing development trajectory within the framework of the new India. "Under PM Modi's leadership, there has been a remarkable acceleration in infrastructure development, exemplified by the construction of double the number of highways built before 1947 and a corresponding increase in the number of airports", he added.
Moreover, significant strides have been made in healthcare infrastructure, with the establishment of multiple AIIMS institutions and the expansion of university facilities, he added. Reflecting on past administrations, CM Yogi underscored the stark contrast between the current era of progress and the challenges faced during the rule of previous regimes, notably the Samajwadi Party.
He emphasized the government's commitment to eradicating poverty and ensuring basic amenities for all citizens, citing the provision of free ration to 80 crore people as a testament to this commitment.
Additionally, significant investments have been directed towards housing and sanitation initiatives, focusing on areas like Hardoi and Sitapur, where substantial progress has already been made in constructing houses and toilets, with plans to extend these benefits to all eligible citizens within the next five years.
CM Yogi emphasized the transformative impact of the Ganga Expressway on Hardoi, foreseeing its rise as a developed district upon its completion.
He said, "Under the leadership of PM Modi, a new India is emerging characterized by security, dignity, welfare for the poor, and respect for religious sentiments. The recent construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, achieved through the collaborative efforts of the 'double-engine government', symbolizes this progress."
CM Yogi recounted the historic events in Ayodhya, where after centuries, Lord Ram celebrated Holi and his birthday, further solidifying India's rich heritage and fostering public confidence in the government's development agenda.
Reflecting on past administrations, CM Yogi criticized the neglect suffered by the poor under Congress and the SP-BSP rule, citing instances of hunger-related deaths and lack of basic healthcare facilities.
He condemned the opportunistic tactics of these political parties, accusing them of inciting communal tensions for electoral gains and proposing divisive policies, such as allocating a portion of reservation quotas to Muslims, which he deemed unacceptable and disrespectful to the legacy of Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar. In contrast, PM Modi's vision includes ambitious initiatives like the creation of '3 crore drone Didi, aimed at empowering economically, he pointed out. (ANI)
