"DMK in ICU": AIADMK's Edapadi Palaniswami retorts to Udhayanidhi Stalin's "ambulance" jibe

Valparai (Tamil Nadu) [India], September 10 (ANI): AIADMK General Secretary Edapadi K Palaniswami on Wednesday hit back at Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin after the latter's "ambulance" jibe.
Responding to Stalin's comparison of AIADMK's situation to an ambulance, Edapadi Palaniswami said that DMK is in the ICU and surviving on "ventilator support."
"Is that so? Just look around, the people are rising with enthusiasm, waiting for the elections. It is DMK that is in the ICU, surviving only on ventilator support. Once the ventilator is removed, it's over. You only have seven months left. Stop arrogance and start serving the people," Palaniswami said.
This comes after Udhayanidhi Stalin alleged that Edappadi K. Palaniswami deliberately blocked an ambulance from passing in Vellore a few days ago and compared AIADMK's situation to the ambulance, adding that because of the BJP, they will end up in the ICU.
"I said before that, your ( AIADMK ) party itself is in a situation where it has to travel by ambulance. Because of the BJP's surgery, the AIADMK movement will end up admitted to the ICU. And even then, it will only be our leader who comes as the doctor to save you," Stalin said earlier today.
"The Opposition Leader Edappadi Palaniswami has been travelling around town to town in that campaign bus. At one place, when he was delivering a speech, an ambulance arrived. We saw how he and his men threatened the driver and even the doctors inside the ambulance. That video went viral. They went so far as to stop the ambulance repeatedly and even assaulted the ambulance drivers," Stalin alleged.
Recently, AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami triggered a controversy after he shouted at an ambulance driver who attempted to pass through his campaign gathering in Anaicut, Vellore district. Health Minister Ma Subramanian strongly condemned EPS's remarks. (ANI)
