Dharmendra Pradhan makes first visit to Odisha after assuming office as Education Minister, gets rousing welcome

After taking oath as Education Minister in Modi 3.0 cabinet, Dharmendra Pradhan made his first visit to Odisha and received a rousing welcome at Bhubaneshwar Airport on Tuesday.

Bhubaneshwar (Odisha) [India], June 11 (ANI): After taking oath as Education Minister in Modi 3.0 cabinet, Dharmendra Pradhan made his first visit to Odisha and received a rousing welcome at Bhubaneshwar Airport on Tuesday.
In visuals, it can be seen that party workers handed over a flower bouquet to Dharmendra Pradhan.
Dharmendra Pradhan took oath as Union Minister in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's cabinet for the third term on Sunday. He has been given the charge of the Ministry of Education.
Previously, Pradhan handled key portfolios in BJP governments. He served as Minister of Education, Skill Development, and Entrepreneurship in PM Modi's second tenure. He also served as Minister of Petroleum, Natural Gas, and Steel in the NDA government.
Pradhan won the Sambalpur Lok Sabha constituency in Odisha by defeating Biju Janata Dal's Pranab Prakash Das by over 1 lakh votes.
Prior to him, Narendra Modi took oath as the Prime Minister for the third successive term on Sunday at an impressive ceremony at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. A total of 71 council ministers were sworn into PM Modi's cabinet.
President Droupadi Murmu administered the oath of office to Narendra Modi, followed by other members of his team of ministers.
The Bharatiya Janata Party-led NDA secured 293 seats in the Lok Sabha elections. BJP won 240 seats on its own. In the 543-strong lower house of the Indian parliament, 272 is the minimum majority figure.
Notably, PM Modi is the second Indian leader to win a third term after founding prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru. (ANI)
