"Development has been taken forward in every area": Uttarakhand CM Dhami campaigns for BJP candidates in local body polls

The Commission has set the voting date for January 23, 2025, with the counting of votes scheduled for January 25, 2025.

Chamoli (Uttarakhand) [India], January 11 (ANI): Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Saturday participated in a bike rally and public meeting organized in Karnaprayag, Chamoli in favour of BJP candidate from Karnaprayag and Gauchar, Ganesh Shah and Anil Negi respectively for the upcoming municipal elections.
The Chief Minister urged the public to support both the BJP candidates in the municipal elections of Karnaprayag and Gauchar and make them victorious.
He said that the state government is continuously taking the development of the state forward.
"The work of the master plan is in progress in the Dham of Lord Badrinath. The divine and grand construction work of Baba Kedarnath Dham has been done. Development work has been taken forward in every area from cities to rural areas," CM Dhami said.
The Chief Minister said that air service has started for Gauchar.
"In the coming time, this area is also going to be connected with small air services. With the start of the Rishikesh-Karnprayag rail service, one can reach Rishikesh from Karnaprayag in just two hours. Its work will be completed soon. 20 model degree colleges are being established in the state. Uttarakhand is the first state where patients are being taken to Rishikesh AIIMS through heli ambulance," he added.
CM Pushkar Dhami also asserted that historical work is being done in the state under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
"Completion of the Rishikesh-Karnprayag rail line will bring prosperity to the region and development will get a new pace here. Various industrial developments and activities are being promoted in the state. Employment is being promoted in the state," he said.
He said that under the leadership of the Prime Minister, anti-copying laws, conversion laws, and anti-riot laws have been implemented in the state.
CM Dhami also mentioned that with the blessings of the people of Uttarakhand, our state is the first state in the country to pass the UCC bill. "The state government will implement it soon," he said.
Earlier, the State Election Commission of Uttarakhand reported that a total of 6,496 nominations have been received for the Municipal Local Body General Elections for the year 2024-25 in Uttarakhand.
Earlier on December 23, 2024, the State Election Commission officially announced the dates for the Municipal Local Body General Elections for the year 2024-25, with elections to be held for 11 Municipal Corporations, 43 Municipal Councils, and 46 Nagar Panchayats across the state.
