Dense fog cripples Delhi, low visibility hits morning traffic

New Delhi [India], Dec.7 (ANI): The national capital woke up to a chilly Wednesday and witnessed a thick, dense blanket of fog, rendering them almost blind as visibility levels were severe, taking a toll on the morning traffic.

New Delhi [India], Dec.7 (ANI): The national capital woke up to a chilly Wednesday and witnessed a thick, dense blanket of fog, rendering them almost blind as visibility levels were severe, taking a toll on the morning traffic. Also, the Met has predicted that New Delhi will continue to reel under dense fog this week. Meanwhile, 81 trains are running late, 21 have been rescheduled and three cancelled due to poor visibility in Delhi, while eight international flights are delayed, three have been diverted and five domestic flights have been delayed at the IGI Airport here. In Uttar Pradesh, foggy weather and biting cold have disrupted normal life in most parts of the state since last three days. Several trains including Sealdah Delhi Sampark Kranti Express, which passes through UP, were cancelled while over two dozen trains were either running late or very late. Road transportation has also been affected in most parts of the state especially in the morning and evening hours. (ANI)
