New Delhi [India], Nov. 28 (ANI): Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Monday congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the demonetisation move and said that it will prove historic for the nation. "I congratulated the Prime Minister for the decision of demonetisation. This is not an ordinary decision. The people will face difficulties for some time. Whenever there is any drastic decision, some kinds of inconvenience are caused for some time but I believe it will prove historic for the nation,"Mehbooba Mufti told the media. She further said that the demonetisation move will lead to the improvement in development for the country. "There was no development for the last 70 years. No proper infrastructure, hospital, roads, water etc. In the coming days the improvement of the country will be speedy because of Prime Minister's decision. All those who have illegal money, fake currency were hit by this move," she said. Talking about the situation of Jammu and Kashmir she said, "The situation in Jammu and Kashmir is improving gradually. I am happy that the students sat for the exam despite all this hardship. I congratulate the parents for this. I discussed how we apply balm on the wounds of the people of Kashmir and also talked about keeping a peaceful environment in the valley." "I request the people of the country to visit Kashmir and allow the people to Kashmir to welcome you and provide you their services," she added. (ANI)
