Delhi Police makes elaborate arrangements for a smooth Republic Day
New Delhi [India], Jan. 26 (ANI): The Delhi Police have made elaborate arrangements for a smooth Republic Day. Joint Commissioner of Police and chief spokesperson of Delhi Police, Deependra Pathak said, "The Delhi Police have made suitable arrangements for Republic Day. Keeping in view all the aspects of security, the Delhi Police have made adequate arrangements as the place of venue as well as the entire city." "Based on the inputs from security agencies, the Delhi Police have also strengthened its vigilance across the city," he added. Meanwhile, the Delhi Traffic Police have also made arrangements for smooth conduct of Republic Day Parade. The parade will begin at 9.50 a.m. from Vijay Chowk and proceed to Red Fort Grounds. Traffic has been closed from Vijay Chowk to India Gate on Rajpath till the parade is over. Besides, no cross traffic on Rajpath was allowed from 11last night at Rafi Marg, Janpath,Man Singh Road till parade is over. The traffic on Tilak Marg will also be not allowed from 10 a.m. on both directions. The entry and exit at Central Secretariat and Udyog Bhawan metro stations is closed till 12.30 p.m. On Patel Chowk and Lok Kalyan Marg metro stations, the entry and exit will remain closed from 8.45 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. Central Secretariat metro station will only be used for interchange of passengers.
