New Delhi [India], January 14 (ANI): BJP MP Manoj Tiwari on Tuesday attacked Aam Aadmi Party Chief Arvind Kejriwal, saying that Delhi has voted for Arvind Kejriwal three times; however, he (Arvind Kejriwal) has forgotten all his promises.
Speaking to ANI, Tiwari said, "Delhi has voted for Arvind Kejriwal three times. Arvind Kejriwal had vowed that he would not join hands with any party... But the world saw that AAP joined hands with Congress. Arvind Kejriwal forgot all his promises. Delhi has recognized Arvind Kejriwal's corrupt face. We will give concrete houses to the slum dwellers of Delhi, we will build good roads in the slum colonies. 5 February is the day to say goodbye to Arvind Kejriwal."
Speaking about BJP's Chief Minister candidate for Delhi Tiwari said, "The CM face of the BJP is its principles and intentions. Now, Delhi needs Modi ji's guarantee, which is our face."
Earlier today, Aam Aadmi Party Chief Arvind Kejriwal accused the BJP of distributing money and goods to sway voters and appealed to the people to not let their vote be sold under any circumstances as it is more precious than "diamonds".
"They neither have a vision nor a Chief Ministerial face and now they have stooped to dishonesty. They are openly distributing money. Their party sent Rs 10,000, but their leaders kept Rs 9,000 in their pockets and distributed only Rs 1,000 to the public. In areas where they did not distribute money, the people are angry," Kejriwal claimed.
The Delhi assembly polls will be held in a single phase on February 5 and the counting of votes will take place on February 8.
The Congress, which was in power for 15 consecutive years in Delhi, has suffered setbacks in the last two assembly elections and has failed to win any seat. In contrast, the AAP dominated the 2020 assembly elections by winning 62 out of 70 seats while the BJP got only eight seats. (ANI)
