DCW transfers case of AAP MLA Manoj Kumar to Delhi Police

New Delhi, July 30 (ANI): The Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) has transferred the matter of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Manoj Kumar, who has been embroiled in a case of domestic violence, to the Delhi Police for further action.

DCW transfers case of AAP MLA Manoj Kumar to Delhi Police
New Delhi, July 30 (ANI): The Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) has transferred the matter of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Manoj Kumar, who has been embroiled in a case of domestic violence, to the Delhi Police for further action. DCW had received a case, wherein the wife of Kumar had accused him of domestic violence and mental cruelty. The Commission had summoned both parties on three dates, 18 July, 23 July as well as 30 July and after counselling the parties and understanding the issue in detail, found it fit to transfer the case to the Delhi Police for further action. Therefore, the case has been forwarded to the Delhi Police today by the Commission for necessary action as per law. The MLA from Kondli, Kumar also faces charges of cheating and land grabbing for which he was arrested in July 2015. He was later released on bail. He is the second AAP MLA accused of domestic violence after Malviya Nagar MLA Somnath Bharti's wife filed similar charges against him. (ANI)
