Rajsamand (Rajasthan) [India], November 20 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party, National President JP Nadda slammed Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and accused Congress government in Rajasthan of committing an old age pension scam of Rs 450 crore and alleged that the state has recorded highest number of rapes.
"Rajasthan has the highest number of rapes according to National Crime Record Bureau (NCRB). Women were harassed here. Alwar incident, Pratapgarh incident, Churu incident, Bhilwara incident and just now the incident in Dausa, such kind of incident has happened that I cannot even speak from this platform,"JP Nadda said while addressing a rally in Rajsamand in Rajasthan on Monday.
Alleging Gehlot government of doing corruption, Nadda listed out the failures of Congress government, he said, "Congress had said that they would waive off the loans of the farmers but today 19,400 farmers are sitting with their lands confiscated. Gehlot government committed old age pension scam of Rs 450 crore. Ashok Gehlot's brother exported subsidized fertilizer. Gehlot's family took a government contract worth Rs 11 thousand crores and filled their houses. These are the people who are breaking the records of corruption," JP Nadda said.
JP Nadda further said that the Gehlot government was only saving its chair during their 5 years tenure, "sometime Sachin and sometime Gehlot", he said.
"Congress had committed Pandupi scam. A helicopter scam was committed. They did the 2G scam, CWG scam, coal scam, and rice scam. They neither left the sky nor the land. For 5 years, the Gehlot government did only one thing, to save its chair. Sometimes Gehlot and sometimes Sachin. Now tell both of them to rest at home. 19 papers were leaked in these 5 years. Patwari's recruitment paper leaked. Police recruitment paper leaked. They have done injustice to lakhs of youth," he added.
Pressing on economic development in the country, Nadda said that this Diwali, gold worth more than Rs 50,000 crore was purchased through white transaction.
"More than 55 lakh vehicles have been purchased this Diwali. India has become the third-largest automobile market. 9 years ago- Made in China was written on mobile phones, but today it is written Made in India. Modi ji decided to build 4 crore houses under PM Awas Yojana. The decision was taken to give 20 lakh houses to Rajasthan. Gehlot government did not allow 9 lakh houses to be built. Our government will build 20 lakh houses and give them to Rajasthan," JP Nadda said.
Rajasthan is set to undergo assembly polls on November 25 and the counting of votes will be done on December 3.
"Farmers are getting 6000 rupees under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, our government will give 12,000 rupees per year. A compensation policy will be made for those farmers who have lost their land and they will get justice. We will sit and investigate those who have committed scams and whoever is found guilty will have to go to jail," JP Nadda added.
The BJP won 163 seats in the 2013 Legislative Assembly elections and formed the government in Rajasthan.
In the 2018 assembly elections, the Congress won 99 seats, while the BJP won 73 seats in the 200-member House. Gehlot eventually took the oath as CM with the support of BSP MLAs and Independents. (ANI)
