Cycles with images of Naidu, G Srinivas Rao found; people say Model Code of Conduct being violated

Krishna (Andhra Pradesh) [India], Mar 13 (ANI): Cycles with images of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and HRD Minister G Srinivas Rao were found here on Wednesday, despite the fact that the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) is in force in the state in view of the ensuing Lok Sabha and Assembly polls.

Krishna (Andhra Pradesh) [India], Mar 13 (ANI): Cycles with images of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and HRD Minister G Srinivas Rao were found here on Wednesday, despite the fact that the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) is in force in the state in view of the ensuing Lok Sabha and Assembly polls.
According to reports, TDP leaders were to distribute these bicycles to the students of ZP High School in Krishna district. The photographs of Chief Minister Naidu and Rao were pasted on these bicycles.
People claimed the MCC was being violated, but the concerned officials were not taking action against the guilty.
MCC comes into force with the announcement of the poll schedule. MCC prohibits the distribution of kinds or cash among the people in the run-up to the polls either by parties or their candidates.
Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sunil Arora on Sunday in New Delhi announced the schedule for 17th Lok Sabha polls and the Assembly polls in Andhra Pradesh as well, which will take place on April 11 in a single phase.
The results of the Assembly and Lok Sabha polls will be announced on May 23. (ANI)
