"CWC members, party senior leaders will hold press conference on Union Minster Amit Shah's remarks against BR Ambedkar": Congress MP Venugopal

Speaking to ANI, Venugopal said "Today onwards all over India, party, CWC members and senior leaders will be holding a press conference on the issue of the Union Home Minister Amit Shah's speech against B R Ambedkar. Congress MPs will also do the same press conferences in their respective constituencies on December 22 and 23. On December 24, the party is planning to have a march towards the collectorate and will hand over the memorandum to the district collector seeking resignation from Amit Shah... this is an attack on the Constitution...Amit Shah's speech is against the spirit of the constitution and democracy..."

Thiruvanathapuram (Kerala) [India], December 22 (ANI): In a press conference held on Sunday, Congress MP KC Venugopal said that party members, Congress working committee members and senior leaders would hold press conferences on the issue of the Union Home Minister Amit Shah's speech against BR Ambedkar.
Speaking to ANI, Venugopal said "Today onwards all over India, party, CWC members and senior leaders will be holding a press conference on the issue of the Union Home Minister Amit Shah's speech against B R Ambedkar. Congress MPs will also do the same press conferences in their respective constituencies on December 22 and 23. On December 24, the party is planning to have a march towards the collectorate and will hand over the memorandum to the district collector seeking resignation from Amit Shah... this is an attack on the Constitution...Amit Shah's speech is against the spirit of the constitution and democracy..."
Further, addressing the media, the MP from Alapuzha said that Congress has demanded a discussion on the Constitution in the Parliament considering its relevance in the present day.
"Congress had demanded a discussion on the Constitution in the Parliament due to its relevance at present. BJP tried to insult Congress leaders. Amit Shah's statement in the Parliament pained all. Till now Amit Shah or PM did not try to apologise for it. Congress decided to take up this issue across the country. Senior Congress leaders will conduct press meetings in all constituencies. On December 27, a huge rally will be conducted at Belagavi. The campaign will continue till January 26, 2025...." Venugopal said.
Earlier today, Congress leader Pawan Khera had also informed that the Congress MPs of the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha along with the CWC members would hold press conferences in 150 different cities across the country demanding the resignation of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Congress has been seeking Amit Shah's resignation over his remarks pertaining to Ambedkar in Rajya Sabha during the just concluded Winter Session of Parliament, which the minister made while attacking the opposition party. (ANI)
