Guntur (Andhra Pradesh) [India], July 18 (ANI): Communist Party of India's (CPI) Andhra Pradesh Secretary, K. Ramakrishna, visited Guntur to participate in the state-level general body meeting at the CPI office on Thursday.
During the meeting, Ramakrishna stated that for the past ten years, Andhra Pradesh has not received special status.
Ramakrishna urged Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to demand special status for the state. He highlighted that since 2014, PM Modi has not kept his promises made during the election, such as providing 2 crores of jobs across India every year. Ramakrishna stated, "It is unfortunate to see that no action has been taken."
He further launched a scathing attack against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying that he has repeatedly done injustice to the state of Andhra Pradesh.
Ramakrishna expressed that after the 2024 elections, they expected a change in the central government's behaviour, but nothing has changed. "Despite the BJP relying on TDP, JDS, Shiv Sena, and other political parties, they are still not doing justice to Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, or any other state," he added further.
Expressing concern over the increasing number of unfortunate incidents in the state, including the rape and murder of girls, he said, "People are angry and annoyed about these incidents."
He requested that the Andhra CM and Union Home Minister Amit Shah take all preventive measures to save girls and ladies and ensure that such incidents do not happen in the future.
Earlier on Tuesday, Chandrababu Naidu met the Union Home Minister in Delhi and apprised him of the state's financial condition.
The meeting took place at the residence of Amit Shah. (ANI)
