Cow, Ganga and temple issues are not for politics: Santosh Gangwar

New Delhi [India], Aug.31 (ANI): Minister of State for Finance Santosh Gangwar has insisted that 'cow, Ganga and temple' are the faith and sentiments of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and added that the saffron party will not be seeking votes in the 2017 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections on these issues.

New Delhi [India], Aug.31 (ANI): Minister of State for Finance Santosh Gangwar has insisted that 'cow, Ganga and temple' are the faith and sentiments of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and added that the saffron party will not be seeking votes in the 2017 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections on these issues. In an exclusive interview with ETV News Head Jagdeesh Chandra, Gangwar said, "Cow, Ganga and Temple are our faith and sentiments. These issues are not for politics. We are not going to seek vote on Ganga and Cow issue." "The people of Uttar Pradesh want such government who can work towards the development along with the Centre. Devlopment, law and order and transparency issues are on the agenda," he added. With an eye on the 2017 Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls, the BJP is planning to undertake a series of 'Parivartan Yatras' across all 403 assembly segments of the state. As per reports, the party will take out four such yatras from different parts of the state, each of which would cover at least 100 Vidhan Sabha segments. (ANI)
