Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh) [India], June 3 (ANI): Ahead of the vote counting of the freshly concluded Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP and Lok Sabha candidate from Uttar Pradesh's Gorakhpur, Ravi Kishan, expressed confidence in the party's massive win for a third straight term and said that the country is set to write a new chapter tomorrow.
In a conversation with ANI, Kishan said, "The entire country has been electing Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the architect of this new India. Every Indian, every poor section, every unemployed person who got employment and those unemployed people who believe that now they will get new employment by the Prime Minister, the biggest leader of the world."
"The country is all set to write a new chapter tomorrow. The whole world is watching that for the first time, such an election took place where 26 parties have come together to defeat a person, to stop the biggest leader of the world...Not just India, not just Gorakhpur, the entire world is watching tomorrow's result, enemy countries are watching, the traitors living inside the country, those who are against the country, they will also be watching...", he added.
BJP Lok Sabha candidate from Gorakhpur, Ravi Kishan was pitted against SP's Kajal Nishad and BSP's Javed Ashraf in the Lok Sabha polls. Ravi Kishan is banking on the support of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who served five terms as MP from the Gorakhpur Lok Sabha constituency. Currently, the Chief Minister is representing Gorakhpur in the state legislative assembly.
Meanwhile, the exit polls have forecasted a landslide victory for the BJP-led NDA, indicating its return for the third straight term. According to India Today-Axis My India exit polls, NDA is predicted to win 361-401 seats in the Lok Sabha polls. The INDIA bloc is expected to win 131-166 seats, it said and gave 8 to 20 seats to other parties.

According to the poll predictions, Uttar Pradesh, having the highest number of Lok Sabha seats, is poised to see the BJP emerge victorious with 65 out of 80 seats. Its NDA allies in the state, Apna Dal (Sonelal) and Rashtriya Lok Dal are slated to win 2 seats each which brings the NDA tally to 69 seats.
On the other end, Akhilesh Yadav-led Samajwadi Party will gain 10 seats, and Congress will be able to muster up one lone seat. The INDI Alliance will win 11 seats in total.
If the exit poll predictions come true on June 4 when votes are counted, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will become the only PM after Jawaharlal Nehru to win three successive terms in Lok Sabha polls. The exit polls predicted 'Modi 3.0' with PM Modi having led the BJP's poll effort through rallies and roadshows in various parts of the country.
The Lok Sabha polls were held in seven phases starting from April 19 to June 1.
The counting of votes will be done on Tuesday. (ANI)
