"Constitutional duty...": Mallikarjun Kharge arrives to attend oath ceremony of PM-designate Modi

Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge arrived to attend the oath ceremony of Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi and said that he is attending the event because of the "constitutional duty."

New Delhi [India], June 9 (ANI): Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge arrived to attend the oath ceremony of Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi and said that he is attending the event because of the "constitutional duty."
"I am attending this event because of the constitutional duty. I being the LoP in the Rajya Sabha, this is my duty," Kharge said.
When asked if he would congratulate PM-designate Narendra Modi, he said, "If I meet, I will see."
Meanwhile, Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivakumar said that they (BJP) have a majority that's why they are taking the oath.
"We don't have a majority that's why we are in opposition and fighting for the cause of the people and this country," Shivakumar said.
The stage is set for the oath ceremony of Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi at Rashtrapati Bhavan in the national capital today.
Meanwhile, guests have started to arrive to attend the oath-taking ceremony of PM-designate Narendra Modi at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
PM-designate Narendra Modi is set to take oath for the third term at 7.15 pm at the Forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan today.
President of Sri Lanka, Ranil Wickremesinghe; President of Maldives, Mohamed Muizzu; Vice-President of Seychelles, Ahmed Afif; Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina; Prime Minister of Mauritius, Pravind Kumar Jugnauth; Prime Minister of Nepal, Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda'; and Prime Minister of Bhutan, Tshering Tobgay, have also arrived to attend the oath ceremony.
