"Conspiracy is being hatched to kill Arvind Kejriwal": Atishi after attacks on AAP chief

Atishi stated, "We are continuously watching that there are several attacks on Arvind Kejriwal. On October 24, Kejriwal Ji was attacked in Vikaspuri in front of the Delhi Police. When we tried to investigate through social media, the attacker was identified as a worker of the BJP. As he was a BJP worker and there was a collusion with Delhi Police, hence they didn't take any action. He was next attacked on November 30 in Malviya Nagar when we went out for a public event. There were attempts to manhandle and assault him."

New Delhi [India], January 24 (ANI): In a major allegation, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi on Friday said that a conspiracy is being hatched by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Delhi Police to kill aap">AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal.
Addressing a press conference, Atishi said, "...There are two players behind this conspiracy - one is workers of BJP who attack Arvind Kejriwal and pelt stones on him in different parts of Delhi, the second player is Delhi Police that comes under BJP & Amit Shah. With the collusion of BJP and Delhi Police, a conspiracy is being hatched to kill Arvind Kejriwal..."
Counting the number of attacks on former Delhi CM Kejriwal, Atishi accused BJP workers of carrying out those attacks.
Moreover, the Chief Minister accused the Delhi Police of 'inaction' during those attacks, citing their "collusion" with the BJP. She claimed that the aap">AAP itself investigated all attacks and found that in most cases, the attackers were "BJP workers."
"The next attack was on January 18 in the New Delhi assembly constituency, stones were pelted on his car. When we went to investigate on social media (not Delhi Police), it was identified that all attackers belonged to the BJP. Again, a collusion of BJP and Delhi Police came in front, as no investigation was done and no action was taken on the attackers. Yesterday, he was attacked on Hari Nagar but Delhi Police didn't stop them. In Kali Bari, where he was going for a campaign in his constituency, BJP workers were brought there were lathis and stones to attack him. Sanjay Singh had to go and stop that attack but Delhi Police didn't come," she added.
Earlier today, Aam Aadmi Party (aap">AAP) filed a complaint with the Election Commission of India (ECI) about the recent attacks on the party chief Arvind Kejriwal during the election campaign, said party sources on Friday.
aap">AAP has alleged that Arvind Kejriwal was attacked several times during the election campaigning for the upcoming assembly polls in Delhi.
On Thursday, Kejriwal alleged that some cadres of the opposition candidate entered his public meeting in Hari Nagar and attacked his car.
"Today in Hari Nagar, the police allowed the opposition candidate's men to enter my public meeting and then attacked my car. All this is happening on Amit Shah's orders. Amit Shah has made the Delhi Police the personal army of the BJP," Kejriwal said on X.
Last week, the aap">AAP national convenor also claimed that he was attacked by alleged BJP workers during his campaign rally.
Recently, the Punjab Police has also withdrawn its security for aap">AAP chief Kejriwal after instructions from the Election Commission of India and the Delhi Police.
Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav on Thursday said that they have withdrawn components of the Punjab Police deployed for the security of Arvind Kejriwal.
The Delhi Assembly elections will take place in a single phase on February 5, and the counting of votes is set for February 8. A total of 699 candidates are competing for the 70 assembly seats in Delhi.
The Congress, which was in power for 15 consecutive years in Delhi, has suffered setbacks in the last two assembly elections and has failed to win any seats. In contrast, the aap">AAP dominated the 2015 and 2020 assembly elections by winning 67 and 62 seats, respectively, out of a total of 70 seats, while the BJP got only three and eight seats in these elections.
