New Delhi [India], October 20 (ANI): Businessman Robert Vadra on Friday asserted that the Congress will perform well in the forthcoming Assembly elections in five States - Mizoram, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Telangana.
"No matter what you do just before elections like giving railways, airports and other things, but the people on the ground will decide. You will see that people will make the right decision and they want a government they can trust and believe in. I think Congress will do very well in all five (Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Mizoram) states (during Assembly elections)..." Vadra told ANI.
He further said that his family will work throughout the nation and as well as whichever states are going for elections.
"My family will work throughout the nation and as well as whichever states are going for elections. I think they will give their best and they will understand what is required in that state. What do the people want? What people want is the most important thing," he added.
Polls will be held in Mizoram on November 7, Chhattisgarh on November 7 and November 17, Madhya Pradesh on November 17, Rajasthan on November 25 and Telangana on November 30. The counting of votes will take place on December 3 in all the states.
The Model Code of Conduct has come into force with the announcement of poll dates.
The elections to five states are crucial as they are being held months before the Lok Sabha elections in April-May next year. (ANI)
