"Congress vision is progressive, impartial...": Robert Vadra

New Delhi [India], May 13 (ANI): Robert Vadra, a businessman and husband of Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, on Monday urged the people to cast their vote for the Congress party, saying that the party's manifesto and vision are very "progressive and impartial."
In a social media message, Robert Vadra wrote, "Humble appeal to the public. Your one vote will change the fate of India. Therefore, in this election, choose justice. We have to unite and vote in favour of Congress. 'Haath Badlega Halaat'."
Posting a video message, Vadra said that Congress will ensure that promises turn into action and develop in every sector.
"Hello, fellow citizens, let's vote for change. Let's vote for democracy. The manifesto and vision of the Congress are very progressive, and impartial and it promises 100 per cent commitment towards the parament of India. Congress will ensure that promises turn into action and develop in every sector. You will see a happy India and a better India," he said in a video message.
Earlier, Robert Vadra hinted at joining politics as a Rajya Sabha member, saying that he would surely join active politics after some time.
Vadra told ANI, "I do not want to come to politics to give a reply to anyone. I want to serve the people of the country, so maybe it is through the Rajya Sabha. I will keep working for the people across the country and will travel to Amethi, Raebareli, and Morabadad, as it makes me very happy to get their blessings. So I will surely join active politics after some time."
Voting for the fourth phase of the Lok Sabha elections in 96 Parliamentary Constituencies across nine states and one Union Territory began on Monday at 7:00 am.
Polling for all 175 seats of the State Legislative Assembly of Andhra Pradesh and 28 seats of the State Legislative Assembly of Odisha also started simultaneously with the Lok Sabha polls.
Of the 96 Lok Sabha seats, 25 are from Andhra Pradesh, 17 from Telangana, 13 from Uttar Pradesh, 11 from Maharashtra, eight each from Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal, five from Bihar, four each from Jharkhand and Odisha, and one from Jammu and Kashmir.
According to the poll body, a total of 4,264 nominations were filed for 96 parliamentary constituencies across.
Of the 96 Lok Sabha seats, 25 are from Andhra Pradesh, 17 from Telangana, 13 from Uttar Pradesh, 11 from Maharashtra, eight each from Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal, five from Bihar, four each from Jharkhand and Odisha and one from Jammu and Kashmir.
The fourth phase is witnessing key contests in various constituencies. Leaders such as AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, West Bengal Congress chief Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, TMC leader Mahua Moitra, BJP leader Giriraj Singh, JDU's Rajiv Ranjan Singh (Lalan Singh), TMC leaders Shatrughan Sinha and Yusuf Pathan.
BJP leaders Arjun Munda and Madhavi Latha, and Andhra Pradesh Congress Chief YS Sharmila are also looking for electoral success.
So far, till phase 3 of the Lok Sabha polls, polling has concluded smoothly and peacefully in 283 Lok Sabha seats. (ANI)
