Congress to target govt. for 'murdering democracy' in Arunachal, U'khand
New Delhi, July 18 (ANI): Continuing its tirade against the government over the recent political crisis in Arunachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, the Congress on Monday alleged that democracy was murdered in both these states and vowed to raise the issue in the Monsoon Session of Parliament. Stating that democracy was murdered in Uttarakhand and Arunachal, Congress leader Ambika Soni said the time, which was supposed to be used in the welfare of the people got wasted during the political crisis. "We will definitely rake up the Uttarakhand and Arunachal issue. So much time got wasted in all this. The time which was meant for the state and the people was wasted. The democracy was murdered. We have to talk on this issue," said Soni. The government has, however, earlier said the recent crisis in the governments in Uttarakhand and Arunachal Pradesh were of the Congress' making and the BJP had no role in it. A total of 25 bills, including the crucial GST Bill, are expected to come up for consideration and passage during the monsoon session. (ANI)
