Congress to soon announce 119 candidates for Telangana assembly polls: State party chief Revanth Reddy

After the Central Election Committee (CEC) meeting, Telangana Congress president Revanth Reddy on Friday said that soon Congress is going to make an announcement on 119 tickets for the Telangana assembly polls.

New Delhi [India], October 13 (ANI): After the Central Election Committee (CEC) meeting, Telangana Congress president Revanth Reddy on Friday said that soon Congress is going to make an announcement about 119 tickets for the Telangana assembly polls.
"Congress is going to make an announcement on 119 tickets soon. Some tickets were finalised. Some tickets are pending while some have been sent to the panel," Revanth Reddy said.
He further lashed out at the KCR family saying that they are a family of scammers and they have no right to say anything about Congress.
"KCR is a family of scammers and they have no right to say anything about Congress...People do not trust them no matter what they say and its results will be seen in Telangana," he added.
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, MPs Rahul Gandhi, KC Venugopal and other party leaders attended the meeting on the upcoming Chhattisgarh and Telangana Assembly polls.
Moreover, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will kick off the Congress poll campaign in Telangana on October 18.
Telangana PCC to launch a Bus Yatra of its top leaders across the state. The bus yatra will also be attended by Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
Earlier on Monday, the Election Commission of India (ECI) announced that the Telangana Assembly polls are scheduled to be held on November 30.
Telangana is set to witness a triangular contest between the BJP, the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi, and the Congress in the upcoming assembly election.
In the previous Assembly election held in 2018, BRS managed to win 88 seats out of 119 and had a dominant vote share of 47.4 per cent. Congress came in a distant second with 19 seats. Its vote share was 28.7 per cent. (ANI)
