Congress taunts Govt., says 'hardworking people paying for corrupt'
Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India], Dec. 29 (ANI): The Congress Party on Thursday took a jibe at the Narendra Modi government, saying that a time will come when the hardworking people will be standing in queues to pay the dues of the corrupt. "Ramchandra keh gaye siya se aisa kalyug aayega, mehnatkash khada hoga line mein aur beimaan ka karz chukayega," Congress spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala said. Slamming the government on its digital economy push, Surjewala said, "Modi ji you talk about digital payments even for tea then why was Rs. three crore transferred to your UP party office in cash?" Talking about the incident, the Congress leader said, "Recently in Ghaziabad, Rs. three crore was seized from two people in a car. Police took the car to the police station. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Ashok Monga reached there with letter on behalf of party president Amit Shah that the money was sent by BJP Headquarters to BJP Lucknow office." The BJP-led NDA Government, which has come under sharp criticism post the November 8 demonetisation drive, will roll out a massive canvassing campaign beginning with Prime Minister Modi's address to the nation on December 31.
