Congress targeted RSS by using Muslims, says Indresh Kumar
New Delhi [India], Mar. 8 (ANI): Expressing contentment over the National Investigation Agency (NIA) special court verdict in the 2007 Ajmer blast case, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on Wednesday alleged that the Congress was targeting the saffron organisation and used Muslims as their votebank. "This conspiracy was made to mislead the Muslims and garner their votes. It shows they have no sympathy for the Muslims but only want to target the RSS. They have been exposed," RSS leader Indresh Kumar told ANI. Accusing the Congress of hatching a conspiracy under the 'manufactured saffron terrorism', Kumar said the United Provincial Alliance (UPA) misused the NIA. "In the name of saffron Hindu Terrorism, the Congress-led UPA government hatched this conspiracy. I have always said it is a political conspiracy. The government had turned blind because Chidambaram, Digvijay Singh, Rahul Gandhi kept on saying the same thing," he said. "UPA misused the NIA and that is why names of the RSS leaders, especially mine was mentioned," he added. Reiterating that the Muslims were actually on their side, Kumar said when he was being interrogated by the CBI, the community was praying for the conspiracy of the Congress to fail. "Today, the Muslims have seen the real face of the Congress," he said. Continuing his tirade against the former government, Kumar said somewhere all the incidents which took place under the name of 'saffron terror' were all a part of their conspiracy. "Somewhere or the other, the Samjhauta Express blast, Hyderabad Mecca Masjid blast and Ajmer blast was all a conspiracy by them (Congress). Whosoever conspired this, they should be punished," he said Kumar further said that the grand old party has always resorted to the policy of divide and rule. Condemning their act of painting the saffron in the colour of terrorism, Kumar said the Congress heinous crime is unforgivable. "Dubbing the saffron colour as the colour of terrorism is the biggest sin one can ever commit. It is an insult of the entire mankind as well as the sun. The society will never forget these ministers," he said. In a major relief for Swami Aseemanand, a special NIA court earlier in the day acquitted him in connection with the Ajmer blast case. Aseemanand was accused in the Ajmer blast case as per the NIA's chargesheet filed in 2007. The agency accused Aseemamand of hatching the conspiracy of bombing Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti shrine, thereby killing three people and injuring 17 others. The hearing into the matter was postponed multiple times as the witnesses made applications delaying their appearance before the court, citing threat to their lives among other reasons. The investigation in the matter was later handed over to the ATS (Anti-Terrorism Squad) in November 2007. Later in December 2010, the court chief judicial magistrate court permitted the NIA to interrogate the accused. After the change of government at the Centre in 2014, the case was moved in a fast-track court. (ANI)
