Ambikapur (Chhattisgarh) [India], November 15 (ANI): Ahead of the second phase of the Chhattisgarh assembly election on November 17, Friday, BJP national president JP Nadda on Wednesday came down hard on the Congress, saying that it was synonymous with corruption.
Addressing a public rally at Ambikapur in the poll-bound state on Wednesday, Nadda said, "On one side is the BJP and on the other is the corrupt Congress party. The BJP is mindful of your rights and strives to uphold and safeguard them while the Congress deprives you of your rights. The Congress is synonymous with corruption. But the BJP stands for development, women's empowerment, and giving more strength to the farmers. I would like to ask you all: did the 2G scam, CWG scam, coal scam, and other scams not take place under the Congress rule?"
He claimed that the Congress also represents loot and cheating.
"The BJP believes in a government that not only cares for women but also strives for their empowerment. We believe in an administration that safeguards the rights of farmers. The Congress, which is at the other end of the spectrum, stand for loot and cheating. Congress did not leave a single place free from corruption," the BJP national chief added.

Urging the people to give a betting reply to the Congress during the second phase of the Chattisgarh polls on Friday, Nadda added, "CM Bhupesh Baghel took Ganga Jal in his hands and promised to ban liquor in the state. However, his government indulged in a liquor scam instead. Isn't that cheating the people and their mandate? And it doesn't end there. Rice scam, teachers' transfer scam, employment scam: the list of the Congress's scams is never-ending. They also promised to reduce power tariffs in the state by half. However, they failed to deliver on it. So, you have to act and reduce them by half on the 17th," Nadda said.
The first phase of elections in the state was conducted on November 7.
In the last Assembly polls in the state, the Congress stormed to power, winning 68 of the 90 seats. The BJP finished a distant second at 15 seats. (ANI)
