"Congress spreading confusion" alleges MP CM Shivraj Chouhan in election rally

"Congress spreads confusion and they are dishonest. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi lie every day and they abuse me every day. I am the one who comes in their dreams that Mama (referring to himself) did this and Mama did that. Don't get fooled by them because they are the ones who stopped the schemes which we started for the benefit of the public," the CM said.

Sheopur (Madhya Pradesh) [India], November 13 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday took a jibe at the Congress party saying they spread confusion and they are dishonest.
CM Chouhan made the remark while addressing a public meeting in Madhya Pradesh's Sheopur district in view of the upcoming state assembly polls scheduled to be held this week.
"Congress spreads confusion and they are dishonest. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi lie every day and they abuse me every day. I am the one who comes in their dreams, that Mama (referring to himself) did this and Mama did that. Don't get fooled by them because they are the ones who stopped the schemes which we started for the benefit of the public," the CM said.
The Chief Minister further said when the Congress came to power in the state after the 2018 assembly polls, they stopped the financial assistance given to women belonging to the Baiga Bhariya and Sahariya community.
"They stopped the Sambal Yojana, they conducted the marriages of the girls but did not give the money to them under Kanvya Vivah Yojana. Now, if a girl gets married, we will give Rs 100,000 under Kanyadaan Yojana. They (Congress) stopped the Teerth Darshan Yojna. I sent people on pilgrimages by train but the Congress got it stopped. We started it again. Now I will send people on a pilgrimage by plane," CM Chouhan added.
Meanwhile Congress' state Chief Kamal Nath in his campaign rally took aim at the BJP for overthrowing his government in the state in 2018.
"Soon after I became the CM, a deal was struck. Being a CM, even I could have made a deal. MLAs used to come to me and say that they were being offered so many crores of rupees. But I said that I will not strike a deal with anyone. Kursi jaati hai toh jaaye" Kamal Nath said while addressing a rally in Narmadapuram.
The state is set to undergo polls on November 17 and the counting of votes will take place on December 3. Voters will choose legislators from 230 Assembly constituencies.
The last state assembly polls in 2018 saw the Congress coming to power, with veteran leader Kamal Nath taking oath as the chief minister. Nonetheless, a political upheaval rocked the state in 2020 after then-Congressman Jyotiraditya Scindia, along with 22 loyalist MLAs, switched over to the saffron camp.
The Congress government fell after being reduced to a minority and the BJP formed the government, with Shivraj Singh Chouhan returning as chief minister. (ANI)
