Congress releases candidate list for three Lok Sabha, 11 Assembly seats in Andhra Pradesh

For three Lok Sabha constituencies in Andhra Pradesh, the Party has fielded KBR Naidu, SK Basheed, and M Jagapathi in Narsapuram, Rajampet, and Chittor seats respectively.

New Delhi [India], April 24 (ANI): Congress on Wednesday declared the names of 14 candidates for Lok Sabha seats and Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh.
For three Lok Sabha constituencies in Andhra Pradesh, the Party has fielded KBR Naidu, SK Basheed, and M Jagapathi in Narsapuram, Rajampet, and Chittor seats respectively.

Similarly, for 11 Assembly seats, the party has decided to field Aadi Narayana Jammu from CheeruPalle in place of Tummaganti Surinaidu, Gedela Tirupathi from Srungavarapukota, and Ponugupati Nancharaya from Vijayawada East in place of Sunkara Padmasree, Chandu Sambasivudu from Tenali in place of SK Basheed, Ganta Anji Babu from Bapatla.
The party has also fielded Chandra Paul Chukka from Sattenapalle, Pasumarthi Sudhakar from Kondapi in place of Sripathi Sateesh, Syde Javeed Anwar from Marakapuram in place of Shaik Saida, Shaik Jelani Basha from Kurnool, Marumulla Khasim Vali from Yemmiganur and PS Murli Krishnaraju from Mantralayam.
Andhra Pradesh has 25 Lok Sabha seats.
The Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh will be held on May 13.
In the 2019 Assembly elections, the YSRCP won with a thumping majority of 151 seats, while the TDP was confined to 23 seats. In the Lok Sabha polls, the YSRCP won 22 seats, while the TDP could only win three seats.
For three Lok Sabha seats in Telangana, the party has fielded Velichala Rajender Rao from Karimnagar, Mohammad Waliullah Sameer from Hyderabad and Ramasahayam Raghuram Reddy from Khammam.
The Lok Sabha election in the 17 parliamentary constituencies of Telangana will be held on May 17. In the previous 2019 general election, Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) won 9 seats.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secured 4 seats. The Indian National Congress (INC) obtained 3 seats. All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) won 1 seat. (ANI)
