Jammu (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], Mar 28 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday held Congress, National Conference (NC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) responsible for the problems faced by people in Jammu and Kashmir.
"Congress, NC and PDP are responsible for the problems Jammu and Kashmir faces today. It is because of them that Kashmiri Pandits faced so much trouble. Sadly, national security is not a priority for them, they only care about power," Modi said while addressing a rally in Akhnoor, along the International Border.
Highlighting India's surgical strike and an airstrike in Pakistan, Prime Minister Modi said, "Those who run 'aatank ki factory' across the border are scared today. This has happened for the first time when terrorists are thinking 100 times before planning an attack in India."
He added, "What is beyond comprehension is Congress' attitude (towards the stand India took against Pakistan). Is it the same Congress that Sardar Patel was part of? Is it the same Congress that Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was part of, and fought for India's independence?"
He added, "While the entire country is talking in one voice and the Congress is speaking in a different voice. After India attacked terrorists in Balakot, Congress leaders made statements which are not in favour of the nation. Do you accept this language of the Congress, or PDP or of the NC? How can an Indian citizen accept such language which is applauded in Pakistan?"
The Prime Minister went on to add that "terrorists are pledging to get rid of the 'Chowkidar' and get these 'mahamilawati' come to power in Delhi."
"Congress leaders are giving a clean chit to terrorists and Pakistan. They don't have the strength to take strong and big decisions... Those favouring terrorism in India or across the border, listen carefully, you will have to pay a heavy price if you take any step against India's interest and security... If people have trust in 'Chowkidar', then 'mahagirawat' of these 'mahamilawati' people is confirmed," he said.
"The security forces are today doing their jobs and investigating terror funding and its links. Those organisations which are promoting terrorism are being banned. Today when I am changing old policies, the leaders of Congress, PDP and NC can't sleep. They are feeling the pain. Every day they are busy abusing the 'Chowkidar'," he added.
Prime Minister Modi further assured people that the ceasefire violation from across the border won't last long.
"People residing near the LoC and international border are facing problems due to mischievous activities of Pakistan. I am fully aware of this. In frustration, Pakistan is targeting our villages and animals. But people should be assured that this won't go on for long. They won't last long in front of the strength and potential of our armed forces," he said. (ANI)
