New Delhi [India], Feb 7 (ANI): Claiming that it was Mahatma Gandhi’s wish to disband Congress, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday asserted that he is working in this direction to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on the 150th year of his birth anniversary.
Delivering his reply during the motion of thanks on President’s address, PM Modi said, “Mahatma Gandhi had long ago realised that Congress has the maximum receiving capacity for all ailments. Hence then only he had called for disintegrating the Congress. Congress Mukt Bharat is not my slogan but I am just fulfilling the wish of Mahatma Gandhi. This year marks the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and as a tribute, we have to do this for sure.”
Outlining his action on the organisations receiving foreign funds, he said, “We sent letters to different organisations asking them the details of the foreign funds that they receive as permitted under FCRA law. We had to conduct no raids and just with a letter, countries over 20,000 such organisations closed their shops. Couldn’t have congress stopped them, for whom were these ways to bring foreign funds open? This is why we are being subjected to bad blames and get abused.”
Sharing an interesting trivia about the Sardar Sarovar Dam the PM said, “In Gujarat, Pandit Nehru had laid the foundation of Sardar Sarovar dam on the Narmada and now I inaugurated it. The reason behind this is the NGO who play with foreign money. We are taking account of every penny spent.”
PM Modi also attacked the allies of Congress for allegedly indulging in dynastic politics and said, “Allies of Congress have also accepted this adulteration culture and none of their allies can stay out of dynasty because it has become their culture and tradition.  Almost all are dynasts and in all are out on bail in bulk.”
He also asserted that if Atal Bihari Vajapyee would have got full majority same as him, the country would have progressed a lot. (ANI)
