"Congress means bad governance, corruption": Union Minister JP Nadda criticizes party at Rohtak rally

Rohtak (Haryana) [India], September 29 (ANI): Union Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president JP Nadda on Sunday criticized the Congress, saying that "the party means bad governance, corruption, and criminalization."
Nadda also accused the party of engaging in vote bank politics and claimed that under the previous Congress government, large industrialists exploited poor farmers, unemployment was rampant, and jobs were given based on a 'Kharchi, Parchi' system.

Addressing a public rally in Rohtak, Haryana, Nadda emphasized that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, India is progressing strongly and emerging as a "bright spot" on the global stage.
"When Congress was in power in Haryana, there were land scams. Rich people would grab the lands of poor farmers. Jobs were given on 'Kharchi, Parchi,' and intelligent students were left standing in the queue of unemployment," Nadda said.
"Congress means bad governance, corruption, and criminalization. Congress means to make brothers fight with brothers, fight between castes, fight between society, and do vote bank politics. This is the religion of Congress and the way they operate," said Nadda.
Earlier on Saturday, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh criticized both Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for not fulfilling the manifesto promises. He said that wherever Congress has been in power in Haryana, the state's condition has "worsened."
He also accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of consistently insulting the nations on foreign soil and urged people not to trust either the Congress or AAP.
He noted that India has become the fifth-largest economy under the BJP's governance and aims to become a developed nation by 2047.
"Bharat in 2014 was 11th in terms of economy, and in the last ten years, it has become the 5th largest economy. In the next few years, it will become the third-largest economy and a developed nation by 2047," Singh said.
Earlier, the Union Cabinet approved the government's 'One Nation, One Election' proposal, which proposes simultaneous Lok Sabha and Assembly elections, with urban body and panchayat polls to be held within 100 days.
Voting for the 90-member legislative assembly in Haryana will be held on October 5. Votes will be counted on October 8 along with that in Jammu and Kashmir (ANI)
