Yamunanagar (Haryana) [India], September 23 (ANI): Launching a scathing attack against the Congress party, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday said that Congress leaders are fighting amongst themselves over Haryana assembly election tickets. He further pointed out at Congress party infighting for the Chief Ministerial position in Haryana.
Addressing a public rally in Haryana's Jagadhari, Shah said, "Hooda father and son are fighting amongst themselves. They are also fighting over ticket distribution. In BJP, Manohar Lal Khattar himself left his seat for young leader Nayab Singh Saini."
Lashing out at the Congress party over one rank, one pension scheme, he said, "It is said that every tenth soldier comes from Haryana. I salute those mothers who send their sons to safeguard us. I want to say to Congress that Haryana has been demanding one rank, one pension for 40 years. Our jawans have also raised this demand but the Congress party never agreed upon it. BJP formed govt in 2014 and passed one rank, one pension scheme in 2015. Lakhs of rupees were transferred to to bank accounts of security personnel."
The Union Home Minister further slammed the Congress party over the issue of terrorism and said, "They (Congress) are saying that the terrorists who are in jail, stone pelters who are in jail, they will be released. I say that as long the BJP is alive, we will not let terrorism flourish in Haryana, Punjab, or Kashmir. They have played appeasement politics for the vote bank."
Taking a dig at the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his reservation remark made during the US visit, he said, "Congress calls themselves a Dalit friendly party but in the US, Rahul Gandhi spoke of getting away with reservation. We won't let them touch the reservations."
"On one side, Haryana has an honest BJP and on the other side, there is a corrupt Congress party. Congress has asked for money in exchange for jobs from poor youth and the BJP has provided appointment letters on doorstep," Amit Shah appealed to the voters of the state to vote for the BJP.
Hailing Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini over the procurement of 24 crops at minimum support price (MSP) which is the highest in the entire country. "I want to congratulate Haryana CM Saini, Haryana is the only state that procures 24 crops on MSP." (ANI)
