Congress leader Kumar Bangarappa joins BJP
New Delhi [India], Mar. 3 (ANI): Congress leader and former minister Kumar Bangarappa on Friday joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Earlier in February, Bangarappa hinted of joining the saffron party when at a party meeting, he said he would soon announce his next political step. He had said the workers and his loyal followers were asking him to join BJP by quitting Congress. Bangarappa had alleged that there was no respect for loyal followers of Congress party in the Siddaramaiah government. He had also said there was a deep discontent among Congress activists against the style of functioning of the government and the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC). (ANI)
