Congress isn't witty enough to coin meaning for NaMo: BJP
New Delhi [India], Aug. 7 (ANI): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday sneered at the Congress party for calling NaMo as 'No Agriculture Mal-governance Only' and said that the latter is not witty enough to come up with a meaning for NaMo. Speaking to ANI here, BJP leader Sudesh Verma said, "NaMo is the religious chant, used before any prayer or hymn. It is associated with Indian culture, Congress should be more witty to devise better acronym [sic]." Verma further suggested that it will be better if the Congress genuflects before Prime Minister Narendra Modi's achievements. Accusing the Congress of gigantic corruption and scandals, BJP spokesman GVL Narasimha Rao said that the former will never understand the true meaning of NaMo, which means corruption-less party. "For a party that has given gigantic corruptions, scandals in this country, dynastic leadership in this country they will never understand the true meaning of leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi," Rao told ANI. The BJP leader said NaMo stands for 'New India' and 'Corruption less India.' The Congress spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi on Sunday accused the BJP of indulging in vendetta politics and said, "The NAMO policy of the BJP government stands for No agriculture mal-governance only."(ANI)
