Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh

Jabalpur [Madhya Pradesh], Apr 26 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday claimed that Congress has corrupt intentions, distracted policies, and confused leaders.
Speaking at an election rally in Jabalpur, Modi said, "To bring some change we need to have the right intention, however, Congress has corrupt intentions, its leaders are confused and its policies are distracted. Congress' strategy is to make people crave for development and help."
He accused Congress leaders of only being "worried" about the careers of their children.
"They are only worried about their own family and lineage. Today you see, we have 'naamdaar' sitting in Delhi and in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, Congress leaders are busy in making their children's careers."
"Today there are a dozen people standing in line with their dream of becoming prime minister, everyone has given tailors cloth to sew. Someone is fighting eight seats, some 40 seats, but all are projecting themselves as better candidates," the Prime Minister said in a veiled jibe at the Opposition.
The Prime Minister also accused the state government of not meeting its poll promises. "In less than six months of Congress coming to power, the state of governance is at an all-time low in Madhya Pradesh. The power situation is bad. Farm loan waiver hasn’t been done despite being promised. This shows why people must never vote for Congress!"
Modi went on to say that Chief Minister Kamal Nath prioritises his Switzerland visits over the development of the state. "His (Kamal Nath) priorities include jet-setting to Switzerland immediately after elections, leaving all administrative work, just to establish his own dynasty and of course, corruption. Very sad state of affairs."
Polling in Madhya Pradesh will be held in four phases - on April 29, May 6, 12 and 19. Counting of votes will take place on May 23. (ANI)
