Congress has become Gandhi family's 'factory': BJP
New Delhi, July 12 (ANI): Taking a jibe at the Congress over its 'loyalty pledge' ahead of the Punjab Assembly polls, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday alleged that the grand old party has become a factory run by the Gandhi family. BJP's Punjab in-charge Prabhat Jha sarcastically said, "If you need a job in a factory then your documents have to be checked. Nowadays, the Congress workers are not loyal to the party or nation, but are loyal only to Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi." The BJP leader further said the priorities of the Congress have changed now as its leaders are now hell-bent upon showing their loyalty to the Gandhis. Eyeing upon victory in the 2017 Punjab Assembly elections, the Congress reportedly wants its winning MLAs this time to abide by its whips in the assembly as in the 2012 polls many hopefuls had contested against its official candidates after being denied tickets. The "loyalty affidavits" is said to be an application devised with help from poll strategist Prashant Kishor. (ANI)
