Congress frustrated, bringing deep fake videos: Nadda

"They (Congress) are so frustrated now that they are bringing in deep fake videos. In the Home Minister's video, he was clearly saying that the interests of the SCs, STs and OBCs have always been safeguarded and will be safeguarded in future as well," Nadda said, speaking to ANI at Karnataka's Shivamogga on Tuesday.

Shivamogga (Karnataka) [India], April 30 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president JP Nadda said that the Congress is so "frustrated" that they are launching deep fake videos.
Nadda was referring to the circulation of a 'doctored' video featuring Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
The BJP chief said that the Congress tried to make the deep fake video featuring Amit Shah viral to create unrest in society.
"They (Congress) made a fake video and tried to create unrest in society. Investigations from Telangana point out that the video was uploaded on social media through the phone of the Telangana Chief Minister. Leaders of the INDI alliance and their parties feel no shame. They tried to make the video viral. This means you are part and parcel of the divisive forces. You are in such deep depression that you are circulating this deep fake video," Nadda said.
On the big achievements of the Narendra Modi government in its tenure, Nadda said, "Why are we talking about '400 paar'? This is because we worked in the interest of the country. Article 370 was abrogated under the leadership of PM Modi, the Supreme Court spoke against triple talaq, the UPA government did not have the courage, PM Modi's government made it possible. Similarly the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam was passed. We also gave boost to the Ram Janmabhoomi mandir that was cleared by the court."
Nadda claimed that the opposition is misleading people after coming down with depression when they realised that the BJP is going to win with an overwhelming majority.
"But coming into depression with the fact that we are winning 400 seats the opposition is misleading the public so that our numbers shrink. This won't work. People have decided to vote for PM Modi," the BJP chief said.
On Opposition's claim that the BJP will not be able to win any seat in the South and only win half of the seats in north India, Nadda said, "Ghalib gham bhulane ke liye khayal achha hai. You stay in illusion. In Tamil Nadu our vote share is increasing and we will be winning some seats as well, we will be retaining Karnataka completely. We will be moving forward in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh this time as well."
Taking a dig at the Congress, Nadda said that the political presence of the Congress in north India is so poor that they are not even managing to nominate candidates.
"In Odisha we will be moving forward to a large extent. We will be doing well in West Bengal. We are not seeing their (Congress) presence in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, states of north India. They are not even getting candidates," the BJP chif said.
Responding to Rahul Gandhi's claims about the BJP allegedly removing reservations when they come to power, Nadda said, "Rahul Gandhi's knowledge always stays limited. He speaks whatever is taught to him. What can I say about it?"
Shivamogga is going to the polls on May 7. BJP's BY Raghavendra, son of former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa, has been pitted against Congress' Geetha Shivarajkumar. (ANI)
