Congress forms panels for Rajasthan polls; Gehlot, Sachin Pilot in core committee

New Delhi [India], September 6 (ANI): Stepping up its preparations for Rajasthan assembly polls, the Congress on Wednesday constituted key panels including that for coordination, campaign, manifesto, strategic and media and communication apart from the core committee.
The core committee includes Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, former Deputy Chief Minister  Sachin Pilot, state Congress chief  Govind Singh Dotasra, former union minister Jitendra Singh and party leaders Harish Choudhary, Mahendra Jeet Malviya, Mohan Prakash, CP Joshi and Govind Ram Meghwal.
AICC in-charge of the state Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa is the convener of the core committee
The 22-member coordination committee has both Gehlot and Pilot apart from several other members of the core committee.
The 21-member manifesto committee is headed by CP Joshi while party spokesperson Gourav Vallabh is its convenor.  It has the Chief Minister, state party chief and CWC members as ex-officio members.
Harish Choudhary is the chairperson of the strategic Committee while Mamta Bhupesh heads the media and communication committee.
Rajasthan will face assembly polls later this year along with four other states.
In 2018, Congress won 99 seats while the BJP won 73 seats in the 200-member house.  (ANI)
