New Delhi [India], October 22 (ANI): The Congress on Sunday formed the Coordination Committee for the Rajasthan assembly elections, appointing senior leader Mohan Prakash as its chairman.
The Congress also named Laxman Singh Rawat and Neeraj Dangi as conveners for the panel.
Ramsingh Kaswan has been appointed as co-convener for the committee.
"Hon'ble Congress President has approved the proposal for the constitution of a Coordination Committee for the ensuing Assembly Elections in Rajasthan - 2023, as follows, with immediate effect," a party statement said here.
Rajasthan assembly polls will be held on November 25. The 200-member house will go to polls in single-phase.
The counting of votes will take place on December 3, coinciding with the other four states: Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, and Mizoram.
Congress on Sunday also released its second list of 43 candidates for the Rajasthan Assembly elections, naming state ministers Pratap Singh Khachariyawas, and Govind Ram Meghwal.
It has fielded Govind Ram Meghwal from Khajuwala, Pratap Singh Khachariyawas from Civil Lines, and Parsadi Lal Meena from Lolsot.
Besides, Congress has fielded former Chief Secretary of Rajasthan Niranjan Arya from the Sojat constituency. He is considered a close associate of Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.
