"Congress doesn't know how to respect women," says MP CM Mohan Yadav over ticket distribution for LS polls in state

"Bharatiya Janata Party is the only party which gives equal opportunity to women. If we talk about the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, both BJP and Congress have given tickets for 29 parliamentary seats in the state. We have given tickets to six women (out of 29) but Congress has given only one ticket (out of 25 so far). Congress is so stingy, this is the condition. They do not know to respect women and it is a misfortune of the country," the CM said.

Ashoknagar (Madhya Pradesh) [India], March 28 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has taken a potshot at the Congress party saying the grand old party does not know how to respect women which is misfortune for the country.
CM Yadav made the remark while addressing a program in Ashoknagar district on Thursday in view of the Congress' ticket distribution for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in the state.
"Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is the only party which gives equal opportunity to women.
He also said, "We are the believers of that lineage where women's names are taken first. Even before taking the name of Lord Krishna, Radha Krishna and similarly, Sita Ram is pronounced. It is the culture of our country."
Slamming the Congress party, the chief minister further said that first the British and then the Congress removed all our Gods, Goddesses, Sanatan Dharma, Satana Culture and description of Lord Krishna's pastimes from the curriculum.
"Unfortunately, I have to say that first the British and then the Congress removed all our Gods, Goddesses, Sanatan Dharma, Sanatan culture and the description of Lord Krishna's pastimes from the curriculum. It is not mentioned neither in primary, middle, higher secondary nor in college curriculum. I would like to thank PM Modi who implemented New Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in which included all the Gods and Goddesses and all the great personalities in the curriculum," he added.
The chief minister further emphasised that the government should be sensitive. If there is no compassion in the government, then what is the use of that government? He also gave instances of his sensitive work on the occasion.
"An IAS officer asked a driver, what is your status? " (Teri Aukat Kya hai). The matter came to my notice through the media. After that I said there may be some who insults the poor but there should not be the collectors in our government. There should be sensitivity in our government," the CM said.
"Recently, an incident occurred during the Bhasma Aarti in Ujjain on the day of Holi. It was my birthday that day and there were Holi programs too, but I cancelled all the programs and met the injured. Our government is a sensitive government," he added. (ANI)
