Khargone (Madhya Pradesh) [India], November 7 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President JP Nadda on Tuesday said that the Congress and corruption are two sides of the same coin.
"Congress is equivalent to corruption. The party and corruption are the two sides of the same coin. Wherever there is Congress, there is corruption, oppression, loot, and fraudulence", Nadda said at a poll-campaign in Madhya Pradesh's Khargone.
Praising the BJP government, he said, "Wherever there is BJP, there will be development and welfare. There will be people to serve the public. This is the difference between the government of the Congress and that of the BJP".
"You must be wondering why I am talking of corruption. Do you remember the AgustaWestland scam case? Do you remember the coal scam case? Do you remember the MGNREGA scam case?" he added.
Equating the Congress government with 'darkness', the BJP Chief said, "The difference between a Congress government and the BJP government can be comprehended by the difference between light and darkness. It can be understood by the difference between Amavasya and Poornamasi".
"Madhya Pradesh was counted as one of the BIMARU states during the Congress governance. Now, it is one of the developed states. This is the difference", he added.
The BJP has fielded Rajkumar Mev from the Maheshwar constituency.
Mev is a former MLA from the Maheshwar constituency.
He lost to Congress's Vijayalaxmi Sadho in the 2018 state assembly polls.
Madhya Pradesh is one of the five states set to undergo polls in one phase on November 17 and the counting of votes will take place on December 3. Voters will choose legislators from 230 Assembly constituencies. (ANI)
