"Congress anti-Sanatan from very beginning": Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami

Today in Khatima, Uttarakhand, the stage was not limited to development projects alone. It became a platform for a political message, a cultural warning, and a resolve to protect Sanatan values. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for several projects, including the Maharana Pratap Bus Station, but what followed set the tone for the entire political atmosphere.

Khatima (Uttarakhand) [India], January 14 (ANI): Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Wednesday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for several development projects in Khatima, including the Maharana Pratap Bus Station.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Dhami launched a direct attack on Congress politics and an open declaration in support of Sanatan Dharma.
Targeting Congress, the Chief Minister alleged that the party's mindset has been anti-Sanatan from the very beginning. "In the pursuit of power, Congress repeatedly adopted a politics of appeasement and worked to divide society," he said.
He claimed that for the sake of "power", Congress even compromised with the soul of Devbhoomi. Referring to earlier Congress regimes, he made serious allegations, saying that a well-planned conspiracy was carried out under vote-bank politics to alter Uttarakhand's demography.
"Outsiders were settled illegally to weaken the cultural balance and strike at the very identity of Devbhoomi", he alleged. CM further stated that this was not merely an administrative failure, but a "conspiracy" against Uttarakhand's culture.
Reinforcing his image as a "protector of faith," the Chief Minister issued a stern message to officials from the stage, stating that "the citizens who follow Sanatan Dharma must not face any kind of trouble. Those who challenge the law with a jihadi mindset or conspiratorial intent must face strict action without any leniency."
The Chief Minister said that his government has waged a decisive battle against "land jihad."
"More than 10,000 acres of land have been freed from encroachment. Bulldozers have acted against illegally constructed shrines, and under 'Operation Kalnemi,' continuous action is being taken against those who disguise themselves to conspire at religious places, so that faith remains protected and the culture of Devbhoomi is not harmed," CM said.
He went on to say that his government has secured not only culture, but the future as well. "A strict anti-cheating law has safeguarded the future of youth. By implementing the Uniform Civil Code, legal guarantees have been provided for the dignity, safety, and rights of women."
According to him, these decisions represent politics of justice and equality, not appeasement.
In the final part of his address, the Chief Minister launched a direct political attack on Congress. He said that Congress has lost its sleep, having realised that under strong leadership, public trust, and decisive governance, the BJP is set to achieve a hat-trick victory in 2027. (ANI)
