Faridabad (Haryana) [India], May 22 (ANI): Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Wednesday launched an attack on the opposition Congress and said the party adopted the politics of appeasement in the greed of the vote bank.
Pushkar Singh Dhami made the remarks while addressing a public rally in Haryana's Faridabad in support of BJP candidate Krishan Pal Gurjar.
Addressing the rally, Uttarakhand Chief Minister said, "Congress has adopted the politics of appeasement in the greed of vote bank. Congress is talking about snatching their rights from the backward and deprived people of the country and transferring them to the people of a particular religion."
Reiterating BJP's goal of 'Sabka sath, Sabka vikas, Dhami asserted, "On one side, there is BJP which respects culture and heritage and whose aim is 'Sabka Saath-Sabka Vikas-Sabka Vishwas,' while on the other side, there is Congress party and INDIA bloc which has only one goal--Development of their family."
Dhami added further, "PM Modi talks about Uniform Civil Code in India while on the other hand, Congress says that they will bring Muslim Personal Law and will work to impose it forcefully. Congress says that a particular class has the first right on the country's economic resources. Congress now talks about imposing tax on ancestral property. These people talk about seizing half the property of the common people and giving it to their favorite vote bank. The parties with nepotism are the ones who are at the forefront of corruption."
Praising Narendra Modi for dedicating his life to the welfare of the poor, Dhami said, "He has dedicated every moment of his life to the service of Mother India, considering the poor, deprived and backward class people as his family."
The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of the Prime Minister, many schemes have been implemented for the welfare of the poor. "Jan Dhan Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, Har Ghar Nal Nal Se Jal, Ayushman Yojana, Kisan Samriddhi Yojana, PM Awas Yojana, Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana and other schemes have changed the lives of crores of people. These schemes are not like paper schemes of Congress but these schemes are the guarantee of Modi ji."
He added, "Many historic decisions have been taken under the leadership of Modi ji. CAA law has been implemented in the country. Article 370 has been abolished from Kashmir, triple talaq has been banned, construction of a grand temple of Lord Shri Ram has been done in Ayodhya."
Lauding the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Dhami spoke about the nation's economy and said, "Under the able leadership of PM Modi, India's economy gained new dimensions. Today the country's economy is strong and ranks fifth in the world."
Speaking about the accomplishments in the past 10 years of government under PM Modi, He said, "Under the leadership of PM Modi, there has been rapid development in the last 10 years. India has made its mark in every field, in the last 10 years, work has been done at an unprecedented pace to strengthen... In every sector, the infrastructure has become strong. In the past 10 years, we have left the Western nations behind in Science, Technology, and Innovation. "
He added, "Countries like Russia and Germany are surprised by seeing our development... India has become a hub of manufacturing. Today, the biggest companies in the world are establishing their units in India. Along with employment, the economic condition of India is also improving."
Taking a dig at the governance of Congress, Uttarakhand CM said, "Before 2014, India used to be identified as an underdeveloped nation in the world. Congress tarnished the image of India but under the leadership of PM Modi, India's status has increased."
Pushkar Singh Dhami also urged the people to vote for Krishan Pal Gurjar and said, "I have full faith that all of you will press the lotus button on 25 May to make Krishan Pal Gurjar victorious."
Notably, the Lok Sabha elections for the 10 parliamentary constituencies of Haryana are going to be held in a single phase on May 25.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections in the state, the BJP swept, capturing all 10 seats. In the 2014 elections, the BJP won 7 seats, while the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) won 2 seats and the Congress secured only one seat.
