Chandigarh (Haryana) [India], Mar 19 (ANI): The Congress party in Haryana will win all 10 Lok Sabha seats in the ensuing parliamentary elections, said the party’s state unit chief Dr Ashok Tanwar here on Tuesday, and termed AAP’s overtures for an alliance as “one-sided show of love.”
Talking to ANI after the meeting of Congress’ Election Co-ordination Committee (ECC) here, Dr Tanwar, also a former MP, said: “We are confident to win all 10 Lok Sabha seats in the state for which we have prepared a blueprint.”
“We have also devised a plan to motivate our workers and connect with the people,” he said, adding that the electoral blueprint will be implemented in the coming days across the state.
The ECC meeting was attended by among others senior party leaders including former Union Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, its chairman  Bhupendra Singh Hooda, former ministers Captain Ajay Singh Yadav, Kiran Choudhary, and Rohtak’s sitting MP Deepinder Singh Hooda.
In the last Lok Sabha election, the Congress had won only Rohtak seat, while the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) had won Sirsa and Hisar Lok Sabha seats. The BJP had won seven Lok Sabha seats.
The meeting also decided to organise a road-show across Haryana to connect better with the masses. A meeting of Congress workers will be held on March 23.
“The road-show will begin from Faridabad on March 26 and will conclude on Jhajjhar on March 30,” said Kiran Choudhary said.
Ruling out the possibility of any tie-up with the AAP in Haryana, Dr Tanwar: “The Congress party is strong enough in Haryana. We will contribute to making Rahul Gandhi the prime minister of India.”
The polling for 10 Lok Sabha seats in Haryana is scheduled to be held in a single phase on May 12. The seven-phase Lok Sabha elections for 543 seats will conclude on May 19. The counting of votes will take place on May 23. (ANI)
