Cong releases first list of candidates for Arunachal, Sikkim Assembly polls

New Delhi [India], Mar 23 (ANI): The Congress Party on Saturday released its list candidates for the ensuing assembly elections in Sikkim, and Arunachal Pradesh where the party has fielded former Union Minister Ninong Ering from Pasighat constituency.

The northeastern state of Sikkim will have its assembly polls on April 11 simultaneously with the Lok Sabha poll. The Sikkim legislative assembly has 32 seats.

New Delhi [India], Mar 23 (ANI): The Congress Party on Saturday released its list candidates for the ensuing assembly elections in Sikkim, and Arunachal Pradesh where the party has fielded former Union Minister Ninong Ering from Pasighat constituency.

The Congress has released its first list with 53 candidates from Arunachal Pradesh and 32 from Sikkim after it got clearance from the Central Election Committee (CEC) meeting.

Among 53 candidates in Arunachal Pradesh, Thupten Tempa will contest from Tawang, Kalo Dususow from Thrizino Buragaon, Jora Dako from Chayangtajo and Nabam Vivek from Doimukh.

Some of the candidates that Congress has fielded from Sikkim are Pema Rinzing Bhutia (Yoksam Tashiding), Mangal Subba (Yangthang), Dipendra Gurung (Maneybung Dentam), Phuchung Lepcha (RCONGhenpong) and Tula Ram Guragi (Khamdong-Singtam).

The 60-assembly of Arunachal Pradesh will go to polls on April 11 with the Lok Sabha polls.
