"Common people no longer feel safe in Delhi," says AAP leader Manish Sisodia

Launching a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the deteriorating law and order situation in the national capital, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Manish Sisodia on Sunday stated that the common people no longer feel safe in the city, as the BJP has brought Delhi to a state comparable to the 1990s Mumbai underworld.

New Delhi [India], November 10 (ANI): Launching a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the deteriorating law and order situation in the national capital, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Manish Sisodia on Sunday stated that the common people no longer feel safe in the city, as the BJP has brought Delhi to a state comparable to the 1990s Mumbai underworld.
"Many incidents of firing are being reported from different areas of Delhi. Many businessmen are being threatened in Delhi. It seems that the BJP has brought Delhi to the situation of the 90s - the underworld in Mumbai. The common man does not feel safe in Delhi. Why is the BJP promoting goons in Delhi? BJP has ruined the law and order of Delhi. It is the responsibility of the BJP to maintain law and order in Delhi. If they are not able to control the law and order in Delhi, then they should hand over this work to the AAP government. We will maintain law and order in 10 days," said Manish Sisodia.
Pointing out at the central government over the air pollution in the national capital, the AAP leader said, "The Delhi government has made very good arrangements to control air pollution. The cases of stubble burning in Punjab have reduced significantly. What is the central government doing to control pollution other than abusing Arvind Kejriwal? Neither the central government nor the Haryana government nor the UP government is doing anything to control air pollution."
Earlier in the day, hitting out at the AAP over soaring pollution levels in the national capital, BJP National Spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla said that Delhi has become a toxic gas chamber.
"Delhi has become a toxic gas chamber ever since AAP has formed government. As per a recent report, Delhi is the most polluted city in the world. Now they don't say anything about the stubble burning in Punjab or bio-decomposers but blame UP and Haryana. They blame Hindus for bursting crackers on Diwali. Diwali is long gone, why is pollution persisting?" the BJP leader asked.
"The condition of the Yamuna River is still the same despite spending Rs 7000 crores to clean it. Will the same people, who promised to clean the Yamuna by 2025 and take a dip in it, stand by their promise?" he added. (ANI)
