Coimbatore Islamic Federation condemns NIA raids conducted in Tamil Nadu

Coimbatore Islamic Federation condemned the raids carried out by the National Investigation Agency in Tamil Nadu and said the agency violates human rights in the name of raids.

Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu) [India], September 22 (ANI): Coimbatore Islamic Federation condemned the raids carried out by the National Investigation Agency in Tamil Nadu and said the agency violates human rights in the name of raids.
A joint consultative meeting of the Coimbatore Islamic Federation, progressive organizations and parties was held on September 20 in the evening at Kottamedu Pon Vishiya Mahal to condemn NIA's human rights violations in Coimbatore. 
In the meeting, parties resolved to constitute a consortium of human rights organizations to meet the families of NIA victims. 
"Bringing NIA's violations to the notice of State Minority Welfare Commission with data.To draw the attention of Tamil political leaders and try to pass a legislative resolution to curb the powers of the NIA. To sensitize people about NIA human rights violations through pamphlets," resolutions read. 
After deliberations, it was also decided in the consultative meeting that there should be mass protests against NIA raids
In the event, Convenors of the federation, organizers of Islamic movement parties and Thanthai Periyar Dravidar Kazhagam (TPDK) Kazhagam General Secretary Comrade Ramakrishnan, DMK Regional Secretary Comrade Baduruddin, Dravida Tamil Party President Comrade Venmani, DMK Regional Secretary Comrade Jailapdeen, Congress Minority Wing Secretary Comrade Sais Sadiq, PUCL District Secretary Advocate Comrade Balasubramanian, CPM District Secretary Comrade N Raza, Liberation Tigers Party District Secretary Comrade Kowai Guru, Revolutionary Youth Front District Secretary Comrade Malaravan, Tamil Tigers Party District Secretary Comrade Agathian, Nam nu administrative organizers including, Consortium of all Jamaats, Islamic Movements, and Political Parties of Coimbatore District were present, statement raid. 
Earlier the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Saturday raided 31 locations in two southern states Tamil Nadu and Telangana, and seized several digital devices and documents, along with Indian and foreign currency. (ANI)
