Sambalpur (Odisha) [India], April 24 (ANI): Rebutting the statement of Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik that development is the identity of the state government, Union Minister and BJP Lok Sabha candidate from Sambalpur, Dharmendra Pradhan said that the CM should tell whether people are leaving the state or not in search of jobs.
Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, held a roadshow, along with BJP Athamallik assembly candidate Sanjeev Kumar Sahoo in Athamallik under Sambalpur parliamentary constituency, Odisha.

Dharmendra Pradhan said, "This is the affection and faith of people towards PM Modi that they are coming in thousands on the road as they are determined to make PM Modi the PM again and to change the govt in the state. PM Modi's schemes are not being implemented in Odisha. There is no drinking water. The health sector is in ruins. Students are not going to school. There are atrocities against women. People have to migrate to other states for jobs."
He further said that the people will vote against the BJD candidate as they trust PM Modi.
He further said, "The CM should tell whether the people are leaving the state or not in search of jobs. The CM's development plank is a facade. PM Modi has given 18 lakh crores in the last 10 years. The state government is mired in corruption. PM Awas Yojana is not being implemented. 10,000 crores were given for water in the villages but only 800 crores have been utilised. Children in Odisha are suffering from malnutrition. If Naveen Patnaik has morality and humanity, he should bring a 'white paper' and accept the fact that Odisha is the most backward."
Earlier, BJD chief and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik kicked off the election campaign from Hinjili constituency on Wednesday. He stated that Odisha is the first state in India to present a separate agriculture budget.
Naveen Patnaik said, "This decade will be a golden era for the youth of the state as the government is placing emphasis on employment and skill development. We will bring a Youth budget in the state. Odisha is the first state in India to present a separate agriculture Budget."
He further remarked that the coming decade will belong to Odisha.
"Development is our identity. However, opposition parties are playing politics on every issue and opposing developmental activities. They had opposed projects including the Shree Mandir Prikrama project. People of the state are aware of it. The coming decade will belong to Odisha," he added.
5T Chairman VK Pandian also addressed a public rally in Hinjili Assembly Constituency in Ganjam district.
Assembly and Lok Sabha elections will be held simultaneously in Odisha in four phases, starting from Phase one on May 13, Phase two on May 20, Phase three on May 25 and the final Phase on June 1. The results will be announced on June 4. (ANI)
