Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], Mar 24 (ANI): BJP leader Shivraj Singh Chauhan on Sunday slammed Congress president Rahul Gandhi for alleging that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has converted the PMO into the 'Publicity Minister's Office.'
Speaking to reporters here on Sunday, the former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister said: "Rahul Gandhi is the biggest liar in the country. He keeps calling other people liars. Our Prime Minister Modi never lies. He has a very strong character and is quite popular among masses."
Rahul Gandhi had recently stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has relegated the PMO to a ‘Publicity Minister's Office’ by indulging in ‘mediocrity’ in a highly sophisticated country.
When enquired if he will be contesting Lok Sabha elections against the Congress' Digvijaya Singh for Bhopal, Chauhan said that his party is yet to take the decision in this regard.
"Till now, the party has not decided whom they will be fielding against Digvijaya. I am sure they will choose a strong candidate for Bhopal seat," he said.
Madhya Pradesh has 29 Lok Sabha seats at stake. The poll body has announced that the state will see polling during the 4, 5, 6 and 7 phases of the Lok Sabha elections. The dates of polling in Madhya Pradesh are April 29, May 6, May 12 and May 19. The counting of votes will take place on May 23. (ANI)
