"Centre worked for multidimensional development of Chhattisgarh in last 9 years": PM Modi in Raigarh

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday inaugurated several rail sector projects and laid the foundation stone of 'critical care blocks' in nine districts of Chhattisgarh and said that the Centre worked for multidimensional development of Chhattisgarh in last 9 years.

Raigarh (Chhattisgarh) [India], September 14 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday inaugurated several rail sector projects and laid the foundation stone of 'critical care blocks' in nine districts of Chhattisgarh and said that the Centre worked for multidimensional development of Chhattisgarh in last 9 years. 
Addressing the public event in Raigarh, PM Modi said," Centre worked for multidimensional development of Chhattisgarh in last 9 years. Every state and region of our country is getting priority in the Centre's development projects. Chhattisgarh is one of the powerhouses of the country and is playing a crucial role in the nation's development. Today Chattisgarh is getting major development projects from the Centre."
After dedicating rail sector projects worth around Rs 6,350 crore to the state, the Prime Minister said that a new chapter is being written in the development of railways for Chhattisgarh.
"Rail corridors are being built, this will help in the industrial development of Chhattisgarh. People will get employment. We have to make our country a developed nation. A new chapter on the development of Chhattisgarh is being written. For the last 9 years, Centre worked for the multidimensional development of Chhattisgarh," PM Modi said.
"We saw that a few days ago the heads of state of G20 countries had come, the world saw India's development and also saw the welfare of the poor and they were impressed," he added.
Chhattisgarh East Rail Project Phase-I is being developed under the ambitious PM GatiShakti - National Master Plan for multi-modal connectivity and consists of a 124.8 km rail line from Kharsia to Dharamjaygarh including a spur line to Gare-Pelma and 3 feeder lines connecting Chhal, Baroud, Durgapur and other coal mines.
"The rail line, built at a cost of around Rs 3,055 crore, is equipped with electrified broad gauge level crossings and free part double line with passenger amenities. It will provide rail connectivity for coal transportation from Mand-Raigarh coalfields located in Raigarh, Chhattisgarh," an official statement said.
PM Modi also laid foundation stone of nine Critical Care Blocks which will be built under Pradhan Mantri – Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM) at Durg, Kondagaon, Rajnandgaon, Gariaband, Jashpur, Surajpur, Surguja, Bastar and Raigarh Districts, at a total cost of more than Rs 210 Crore.
Prime Minister also distributed one lakh sickle cell counselling cards to the screened population.
"Tribal brothers and sisters are affected by sickle cell anaemia. With 'Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas we will move ahead with the development agenda," he said.
The distribution of sickle cell counselling cards is being done under the National Sickle Cell Anaemia Elimination Mission (NSAEM), which was launched by the Prime Minister in July 2023 at Shahdol, Madhya Pradesh, an official statement said.
Earlier today PM Modi also visited Madhya Pradesh and laid the foundation stone of development projects worth more than Rs 50,700 crores in Bina. (ANI)
